Franc leads the NextEra Infrastructure Solutions team, providing an array of cutting-edge services, including advanced metering, sustainable energy, fiber solutions and state-of-the-art street lighting. Catering to municipalities, public utilities and home builders, our offerings extend to regulated street lighting and reliable backup generation options.

In his previous role, Franc set a standard in sustainable lighting solutions, teaming up with over 100 municipalities across Florida. He spearheaded the transition to eco-friendly LED lighting, culminating in the successful transformation of more than 200,000 streetlights.

Franc also spent 14 years at a leading digital marketing firm promoting utilities and home-based services. Wearing multiple hats throughout his career, his roles ranged from in-house counsel to Chief Executive Officer. In these capacities, Franc showed adept negotiation skills, striking lucrative agreements with major home utilities and real estate investment trusts.

Franc is an alumnus of the prestigious Duke University School of Law, where he secured his Juris Doctor degree. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a focus on finance, from the University of Miami. His invaluable education and multi-faceted experiences position him as a thought leader in the infrastructure solutions landscape. 

As Director of Strategic Initiatives at NextEra Infrastructure Solutions (NIS), William provides guidance to the team on legal, regulatory, and executive oversight matters. He is responsible for driving strategic growth and innovation of the fiber business, supporting the expansion of edge computing solutions, and identifying and coordinating cross-selling opportunities for all NIS products. William plays a key role in advancing NIS’s digital infrastructure initiatives, leveraging fiber and edge computing technologies to enhance data processing capabilities, reduce latency, and support next-generation energy and connectivity solutions.

Prior to joining NIS, William played a pivotal role in the development of 10 gigawatts of renewable energy projects while leading internal due diligence efforts at NextEra Energy Resources.

William served as in-house counsel for the NYC Office of Emergency Management from 2009-2014 and worked in regulatory affairs for Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) before joining NIS in 2021. He is licensed to practice law in both Florida and New York, having obtained a Juris Doctor degree from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. William also holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Williams College.

Lauren Whetstone plays an instrumental role in devising pricing and deal structures for the company's fiber program. Prior to joining NextEra Energy, Inc., Lauren was a litigation shareholder at an international law firm based in Florida, where she focused on complex commercial litigation and securities transactions. Lauren's comprehensive professional experience includes driving business outcomes for a diverse range of clients and litigating a variety of matters in state and federal courts and arbitration forums, including contract disputes, business torts, products liability for manufacturers, securities class actions, shareholder and partnership disputes, corporate formation, and real estate matters. Lauren holds a Juris Doctor degree, a bachelor's degree in finance, and a bachelor's degree in public relations, all awarded cum laude from the University of Florida.

Brad Gunter is the director of the commercial engineering, construction and operations. In this role, he oversees the development, design, engineering, permitting, installation, maintenance and monitoring of energy and fiber solution assets for commercial clients. The technologies he manages include backup generators, UPS and battery storage, HVAC and controls, lighting and fiber.

Brad has over 35 years of experience in the energy and construction industry and has been with NextEra Energy for over 24 years, holding numerous positions with various responsibilities, such as energy efficiency, project development, project (construction) management, business development and sales.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Old Dominion University and an MBA from the College of William & Mary. Brad holds a Professional Engineering License in 12 states, including Florida, and has numerous industry-related certifications. Notably, he is a Certified Energy Manager and a Certified LEED Accredited Professional. He has also passed the Florida General Contractors exam and is working toward state licensure. With his extensive experience and expertise, Brad is an invaluable asset to the company and its customers.

Lauren has worked for NextEra Energy since 2007, with experience in wholesale power, gas and renewable energy credits, solar thermal, solar photovoltaic, distributed generation and battery storage projects. Today she currently leads development, engineering and early-stage construction for NextCity Networks. She is a Six Sigma Green Belt with strengths in project management. Lauren holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Florida Atlantic University and master’s degree in information technology from Florida Institute of Technology.

Eric is a highly skilled professional who embarked on his journey at Florida Power & Light (FPL) in 2016, initially serving as an Energy Services Lead Project Manager. He subsequently transitioned to the role of Senior Sales Consultant. Leveraging his extensive experience in these positions, Eric joined the NextEra Infrastructure Solutions (NIS) team in January 2023, where he currently serves as the Manager of Energy Services.

Eric holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Mississippi State University, where he developed strong engineering and analytical problem-solving skills. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Florida, a Certified Energy Manager, and holds a Six Sigma Green Belt, underscoring his commitment to process improvement and quality control.

With his substantial industry experience and robust educational background, Eric is well-positioned to deliver high-quality results as an Energy Services Manager within the NIS team. He brings a unique skill set to the role, ensuring that all projects are executed with the utmost professionalism and efficiency.

Jerry is a seasoned business development professional with 10 years of experience in relationship generation, account management and proposal response. He is responsible for generating new business for NextEra Infrastructure Solutions' various product lines, including LED street lighting, electric AMI, water AMI, LED sports lighting and fiber. Jerry is skilled in building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, creating compelling proposals and providing exceptional customer service. He holds a bachelor’s degree in English literature from Florida State University. Jerry's dedication to providing exceptional customer service and his ability to identify new business opportunities make him an invaluable asset to the team. His contribution to the company's growth and success has been significant, and his expertise will continue to drive growth and profitability for NextEra Infrastructure Solutions.

Ivy has over 10 years of business development experience in relationship generation, and account management. He is responsible for generating new business for FPLES’ various product lines including LED streetlighting, electric AMI, water AMI, LED sports lighting, and fiber. Ivy is skilled in building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, creating compelling proposals, and providing exceptional customer service. He holds a master of business administration in finance & supply Chain Management from Louisiana State University, a Master of Public Administration (MPA) in Public Finance & Public Health and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from Southern University and Agricultural and Mechanical College at Baton Rouge.

Lisa Johnson is the manager of strategic initiatives for NextEra Infrastructure Solutions (NIS), is a certified Six Sigma Yellow Belt and serves on the Employee Resource Group Leadership Council for Alliance for People with Disabilities. Her focus for almost 20 years has been on customer advocacy that helps identify clients’ needs, delivering solutions and bringing value to shareholders. In 2008, she joined Florida Power and Light Company (FPL) and has held various roles supporting business development, go-to-market strategies and managing client services. She started her career with a worldwide leader in the car rental industry, customizing transportation solutions for government agencies and Fortune 500 companies. Lisa Holds a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from Southern Illinois University.

Rosann has been with NextEra Energy since 2017, working in NextEra Energy Resources on solar, wind and battery storage. She is responsible for responding to request for proposals (RFPs), creating templates and best-in-class content, as well as pre and post RFP processes. Rosann has been a proposal manager for 20 years and has experience working at various companies. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University and an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University. She also has a Six Sigma Green Belt certification.

Christopher is a cross-functional professional with 11 years of experience across strategy consulting, performance marketing, and business development. Christopher has advised clients across technology, media, and telecom industries on internal strategy, go-to-market strategy, and quantitative marketing. Christopher is experienced in infrastructure investing, where he has conducted a number of due diligence projects for financial and strategic buyers. In his current role, he is responsible for deal structuring, origination, and project financing for NextEra's fiber business. 

Prior to joining NextEra, Christopher was a consultant with Altman Solon, the largest TMT strategy firm in the world. Before that, he led eCommerce at Horizon Media, the world's largest private media agency. Christopher received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a Masters of Business Administration from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.

Rajat is a well experienced finance professional managing planning and direction of the financial aspects for all potential and secured projects at NextEra Infrastructure Solutions. As an integral member of the Commercial Sales & Operations organization Rajat and his team are responsible to provide project valuations, cash flow analysis, deal pricing, deal structuring and negotiate financing with investment and commercial banking houses.

Rajat brings along 20+ years of global work experience and financial acumen in the preparation and analysis of financial reports, treasury functions, financial modeling, budgeting & forecasting, and taxes. Prior to joining NEE, Rajat worked in leadership roles in Dubai (UAE), South Africa and India. His most recent assignment was with NEER, working as a Senior Financial Controller responsible for the financial functions for an assigned portfolio of electric generating facilities across USA and Canada.  

Rajat holds a master’s degree in accounting from Gujarat University, India. He holds the CPA & CGMA certifications from AICPA, USA and from BIA, Africa; and he is a Chartered Accountant from ICAI, India.

Kendall Purdy's influence at NextEra Infrastructure Solutions goes beyond her role as a Senior Business Analyst. She actively contributes to various areas of the business, displaying her strategic prowess in market analysis and strategy. Kendall's keen problem-solving skills enable her to navigate complex business landscapes, making significant contributions to the organization's growth and success.

Kendall is a distinguished alumna of Long Island University, holding a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Marketing. She furthered her education at Florida State University, where she earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA). This educational background equips Kendall with a solid understanding of business principles, which she effectively integrates into her multifaceted leadership approach.
